Balance Training
Balance is a communication between your brain and muscles that allows your body to stay stable. Balance exercises help you maintain strong leg muscles and prevent falls. Therapists at Advanced Physical Therapy & Rehab work with patients to maintain strong muscles and prevent falls. Balance training may involve a variety of exercises using the following equipment:
balance board
back balance
Bosu ball
balance pad
balance ball
balance stairs
balance beam
foam roller
Therapists may also train in exercises such as weigh shifts, single-leg balance, shoulder press, side-lateral raise, single leg hip rotation, squat, or walking. Our therapists listen to and work with individual patients to find out which equipment and balance exercises are right for them.
